Anas Arkawi

From the first time I've heard of MUN in school, it instantly piqued my interest and I got on research more about it and start participating in conferences as soon possible. I've always been curious about debates and partaking in conversations on various problems and MUN provides the perfect environment for it which made me love this activity even more. Furthermore, the socializing aspect of it made it an amazing experience overall.

My first MUN experience was in Izmir, Turkey, where I participated in IGMUN23 which was made possible by the Izmir Gelisim Koleji. There, I represented the United Kingdom in the CERN committee where the agenda item was "Evaluating the process of transitioning from fossil fuel to nuclear fuel." This topic not only combined physics, one of my favourite field of interest, but also allowed the way for the in-depth discussion of many different topics. By the end of the conference, we've managed to write a resolution and I have managed to win an award of outstanding delegate.

In the future, I'm planning on taking part in many conference and continue my MUN career.
