Co Under Secretary-General: Neva Özkul
The Disarmament and International Security Committee, also known as DISEC, is the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, focuses on issues related to global peace, security, and disarmament. DISEC works to reduce weapons, prevent conflicts, and address new threats to international stability, such as terrorism, cyberwarfare, and the misuse of advanced technology. The committee encourages cooperation among countries to solve these problems peacefully and ensure a safer world.
With the rise of technology, cybercrime has become one of the fastest growing threats to global security. Hacking, identity theft, and online scams can cause serious damage to individuals, businesses, and even governments. Some cyberattacks target national infrastructures, putting entire countries at risk.
Since cybercriminals often operate across borders, it is difficult for one country to stop them alone. Through this agenda, DISEC will work on improving international cooperation, creating global cybersecurity standards, and ensuring that the digital world remains safe and secure for everyone.

And the agenda, immigration, had always been one of the most debated and complex issues in the United States. It has been shaping the United States’s social, economic and political landscape. As a country historically built by immigrants, the U.S. continues to face questions about how to manage its borders, enforce existing laws, and provide fair opportunities for those seeking a better life. As the United States continues to face challenges in these problems, lawmakers are tasked with addressing the humanitarian, economic, and national security dimensions of immigration. The topic encompasses a wide range of issues, including border control, visa regulation, refugee and asylum policies, the status of undocumented immigrants, and pathways to citizenship. The U.S. Senate will discuss how immigration laws can best reflect both the country’s security interests and its long-standing values of freedom and opportunity.

The CIA is a U.S. government agency that provides objective intelligence on foreign countries and global issues to the president, the National Security Council, and other policymakers to help them make national security decisions. Agency's main tasks include collecting foreign intelligence, producing objective analysis, conducting covert action, as directed by the president and safeguarding the secrets of the Nation. Since its establishment during World War II as the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), America's first global intelligence service, after the war ended CIA continued to shape its mission with the principle of strategic intelligence had its place in times of both war and peace.
The committee's Agenda Item, the Space Race, is a part of the Cold War which have started in 1957 and ended in 1969, and it was a war of intelligence and science rather than guns and troops. The main sides which led the war by technological and diplomatic moves were the USSR and the USA. Therefore, this time period is one of the times where the American Nation relied on CIA for intelligence and information most. The CIA held multiple operations in USSR, and in other countries to gather information as well as protecting the safety and legacy of America.
Those who join this committee, as department agents, are going to be tasked to plan the operations, give field reports, invent things for the Nation and many more. 4 departments- support, plans, sci & tech, and intelligence- of CIA, will be asked to operate according to their concerns of the agenda item and working fields.
Do you think that it is possible the U.S. could gather enough information to achieve greater things than they had in the history? The legacy is in your hands.
Note: This committee has a special procedure which participants will find out from the handbook.
Pretty v. UK
Co-Under Secretary General: Çağla Şahin
Co-Under Secretary General: Melissa Namoğlu
The case of Pretty v. United Kingdom raises one of the most profound questions before the Court: does the right to life include the right to die with dignity? Diane Pretty, suffering from motor neurone disease, argued that the UK’s ban on assisted suicide violated her rights under the European Convention on Human Rights.
The committee will examine whether the state’s duty to protect life can justifiably limit personal autonomy and dignity. Delegates must weigh compassion against legal principle, exploring how far human rights extend when life itself becomes a burden.

At its best, banking isn’t just about the boring numbers and the spreadsheets, but about trust, progress, and the collective effort to build a future where opportunity knows no boundaries.
In this committee, the participants will act as members of the Board of Directors of J.P. Morgan and lead the one of the biggest investment banks in the world bank through the unforgiving world of finance. Whether it be political turmoil, economic crises, or fierce competitors, the participants will have to fight through numerous hurdles in their way to maintain one of the back-bones of global finance all the while expanding and protecting their stake in it.
